The Wall Came Tumbling Down

As this eclipse period draws to a close, and with a full moon in Pisces feeling especially relevant for me, I am feeling a whole range of emotions.

You're right in thinking this isn't my usual weekly post for a Monday. But somehow the thoughts and feelings needed to find their way home.

Yesterday, one of the walls alongside our driveway had to come down.

There wasn't enough concrete to properly support its foundation.

Nothing particularly dramatic happened, but we knew that, if left, the weakness beneath the surface meant that one day the wall might no longer be relied upon to stand.

When I returned home and saw the mess that had been created, I really felt the shock from the land deep within my body. It hurt in some strange kind of way.

The experience briefly reminded me of the beautiful old chapel we renovated all those years ago before it became my spiritual healing centre. For a short while, part of its structure was stripped bare and exposed. I remember feeling my stomach drop and realising the strength of our connection. Buildings have feelings too.

There's something rather unsettling about seeing what I thought was solid and strong suddenly become fragile.

The timing of the wall coming down wasn't lost on me. Somehow, it seemed to reflect much of what I had been feeling.

Over these past few weeks, I've found myself seeing things with unexpected clarity and feeling more deeply. Things I might once have overlooked, excused or questioned have become much harder to ignore.

Some of the illusion has simply fallen away.

I wonder if you can relate to this?

Do you notice the space between the lines? Between what is illusion and what is truth? Between something that feels genuine and something that doesn't ring true?

My Soul Moment during these past few weeks has been realising that I no longer need to question what I can clearly see and feel. I really trust the person I am becoming.

Maybe this is one of the more unsettling aspects of awakening.

Sometimes the illusion simply stops working. And once we have truly seen something, we cannot always return to the comfort of not knowing.

What is real matters more and seems to reveal itself more readily.

What is false becomes harder to accommodate.

And what once distracted us begins to lose its power.

The wall will be rebuilt, of course.

But this time, the foundations will be stronger.

And perhaps there is something in that for all of us.

For me, the rose-tinted glasses have finally come off.

Sometimes the structure has to fall before the truth beneath it can be seen.

P.S. My next Family of Light programme begins in late September. It feels particularly timely as I write this, as so much of our growth involves deepening our awareness, strengthening our discernment and learning to trust what we perceive. I'll share more with you soon.
